Lotus is a plant of the genus Nelumbo in the family Nelumbonaceae.It is one of the ten famous flowers in China and the national flower of India and Vietnam.
Lotus structure: Lotus is composed of rhizome, leaves, flowers and lotus seeds.Its rhizome is horizontal, the internode is expanded, and the lower part has a whisker-like adventitious root.Its leaves are round and green in color.Its flowers grow on the top of branches and leaves, usually solitary, colorful, pink, white, red and so on.After flowering, it produces oval or oval nuts with lotus seeds inside.
Growth process: After the lotus roots buried in the pond germinate in the mud, the lotus leaves will slowly emerge from the water surface.At the root of its stem, it will pull out the bud of lotus.When the bud grows out of the water, it will blossom slowly in the flowering period.When the flowering period is over, its petals will gradually wither and the seeds will be exposed.
Lotus language: "Out of the mud but not dyed, Zhuo Qing Lian but not demon", refers to the lotus noble and pure, faithful, clean, independent quality of the world.Different kinds of lotus flower language is not the same, such as anemone flower language for the loss of hope, gradually become shallow love, purple anemone flower language for secret love, snow lotus flower language for pure heart.
Varieties of lotus: There are many varieties of lotus, such as Taobai, Hongtai, Xiannvsanhua, Yudie, Qingmaojie, Jinfeng and so on.
Lotus flowers usually bloom from June to September every year.Because of the different climate and varieties, there will be some differences before and after the flowering time of lotus.For example, in the south and the areas where the temperature rises earlier, the flowering time of lotus will be earlier, while in the north and some areas where the temperature rises slowly, the flowering of lotus will be relatively delayed.But under normal circumstances, July to August is the peak flowering period of lotus, during which the ornamental value of lotus will be relatively high.
