Soil: the soil with good drainability is needed for breeding Rieger Begonia. The culture soil can be prepared by mixing peat soil and perlite in the proportion of 4:1. Temperature: the optimum growth temperature is 18-22 ℃, not more than 28 ℃ or less than 15 ℃. Light: it likes semi shaded growth conditions. Fertilization: the seedlings are mainly applied with nitrogen fertilizer, and the pre flowering application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is increased.

1. Soil

To breed Rieger Begonia, we need to use the soil with better drainage. When we breed at home, we can mix coconut bran and vermiculite as its culture soil, and we can mix peat soil and perlite according to the ratio of 4:1 to make its culture soil.

2. Temperature

The optimum growth temperature of Begonia Rieger is 18-22 ℃. It is not resistant to high temperature, the temperature can not exceed 28 ℃, so it is best to put it in an air-conditioned room in summer. It is also not resistant to low temperature, the temperature can not be lower than 15 ℃, so it is best to put it in the room with heating in winter

3. Light

It likes semi shaded growth conditions. In summer, you need to use a sunshade to block the light for it, so as to prevent the strong light from burning it. In winter, it just blooms. You need to put it on the balcony and other places with good lighting conditions to help it bloom

4. Fertilization

It needs to be fertilized regularly. The main way to fertilize seedlings is nitrogen fertilizer, which can make them grow branches and leaves faster. Before flowering, we need to increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, so as to make its flowers brighter and more colorful.
