It's better to use the soil with good air permeability to breed tiger orchid. You can add proper amount of charcoal and particles at the bottom of the flowerpot to enhance its drainage
It likes sunshine. It can receive light directly in spring, autumn and winter. In summer, it should be properly shaded and not be directly exposed by strong light. The sun is too strong to scorch the leaves.
The temperature of 15-25 ℃ should not be too high or too low. Winter can be placed in indoor breeding, temperature is not too high, the temperature control in about 10 ℃.
It should be watered in a proper amount. It should be watered more in the period of vigorous growth, but it can not produce water. The watering shall be in accordance with the principle of instant drying and pouring, and it shall be fully poured at one time. In summer, if the temperature is high, it can be watered 2-3 times a day.
1. Change basin: the best way to change basin for tiger head orchid is after flowering. When changing basin, cut off the rotten root system and sterilize the tools used to avoid infection.
2. Watering in winter: special attention shall be paid to the maintenance in winter, and the amount of watering shall not be too large. If the amount of water is too large and the temperature is low, it is easy to cause root rot.
