The time of the upper basin (or turning basin) is generally from March to April in spring. Flowerpots with small mouth, deep basin and large bottom hole are preferred. The newly dug wild seedlings from the mountain need to be planted in a mud basin, so that the orchid mud is easy to dry, has good ventilation and is easy to root; the purple sand basin or porcelain basin can be replaced after 2-3 years.
The method of orchid planting (in the basin) is different from that of common flowers, especially for the famous orchid, the root of which must be washed when turning over the pot. The method is: immerse the root in the clear water, wash it gently with the old toothbrush or brush, do not use too much force to prevent damaging the root system; carefully trim the medicine, and pay attention to the ventilation effect of the environment.
1. Potting method 1: after preparing the pot and plant, take the plant upside down (root on top, leaf on the bottom) and put it under the tap to wash with slow water. The water pressure should be soft to avoid damaging the root and leaf. Hold the blue head with your thumb and index finger, put your little finger against the edge of the basin, and fix the root with bamboo chopsticks. When you put it into the basin, try not to let the root touch the basin wall. Pour the pea sized gravel mixture into the bottom of the basin to one third. Then pull out the chopsticks and shake the plants in the basin.
2. Potting method 2: pay attention to the drainage of the basin bottom, fill the clay basin with broken tiles, and cover the basin bottom with perforated nylon gauze in the purple sand basin. Before planting, lay coarse stones in the basin, accounting for about 2 /5 of the depth of the basin. The coarse stone culture soil is 3-5cm thick, and then put the orchid. Pay attention to the self expansion of the root, not curling. When planting the famous orchid grass, we must keep the old grass aside and the new grass in the center, so as to leave room for the new grass to develop again.
After planting flowers and plants, the first watering is called "root fixing water". Root setting water must be fully poured. Generally, water the basin twice in a row, the first time. When the water flows out of the hole at the bottom of the basin, water it again.
The watering method shall be spray pouring method, which can not only increase the air humidity, but also wash the dust on the leaves. But for the flowers with fluffy leaves or blooming flowers, it is not suitable to spray, but the whole flowerpot should be placed in the water basin, so that the water does not flood the mouth of the basin, and the bottom hole of the basin is used to infiltrate water, so that the basin soil is wet. At the same time, pay attention to the water temperature, which should be controlled at about 15 °.
Watering usually takes place in the early morning or evening. Water should be poured thoroughly. Do not water half of it.
Farmyard manure is a good organic fertilizer, but it can only be used when it has been piled up for more than one year. This kind of fertilizer liquid can be used to water 10-20 times, try to apply on the edge of the basin, do not contact the root, do not touch the leaves.
Foliar fertilization is the main way of fertilization. Foliar fertilization can not only supplement the nutrition of orchid through the absorption of orchid leaves, but also can not make the fertilizer contact the root and cause fertilizer damage. It is the best way of fertilization for orchid.
As long as in the growth and development period, insist on spraying fertilizer on the leaves once every 10 days, you can keep the orchids well, and you don't need to apply fertilizer to the basin. It can be used as 1:1000 potassium dihydrogen phosphate, 1:1000 boron fertilizer or aloe liquid. Aloe Vera is not only nutritious, but also can effectively prevent disease and insect invasion.
Fertilizer should be applied frequently and thinly, eat less and eat more food: orchids need less fertilizer in the development and growth period. For robust orchids with vigorous growth, thin liquid fertilizer can be applied every 10-15 days.
For the conservation and planting environment of Agave, attention should be paid to the sufficient light and air circulation, and direct sunlight should be avoided to avoid burns.
The application of fertilizer should not be too much at one time, to avoid the situation of excessive nutrition, but not conducive to the growth of plants.
