Red back osmanthus is a subtropical plant. It is not cold resistant. The suitable growth temperature is between 15-25 ℃, and the overwintering temperature should be no less than 5 ℃.

Red back osmanthus like wet growth environment, but avoid waterlogging. In winter, the room temperature should not be lower than 12 ℃, otherwise, a large number of leaves will fall and the plant will enter into dormancy, at the same time, the shoots will also wither. If this happens, it should be immediately re cut to promote the development of new branches. When moving out of the room in spring, pay attention to the wind, otherwise it will easily cause the leaves to shrink or even the edges to dry.
