Meiguanlan is widely distributed in China. It has been cultivated for a long time and a wide range in many places. But orchids themselves have high requirements for the environment, so they need a certain threshold. Let's take a look at how to breed meiguanlan.

I. growth habits

Meiguanlan has higher requirements on temperature and humidity, too high or too low temperature will affect the normal growth of orchids. Generally speaking, 15 to 30 degrees is the most suitable environment for its growth.

At the same time, the root of orchid needs to be protected and special sandy planting soil rich in nutrition and relatively loose should be allocated. In addition, it is also required to contain more humus and keep the pH of planting soil between 5.5 and 6.5.

II. Environmental regulation

There are two main ways to cultivate meiguanlan, one is the orchid shed, the other is the pot.

In the blue shed, the temperature and light should be adjusted according to the season to a suitable range. For example, when the temperature is reduced in winter, the temperature and light should be increased, while in summer, the light should be reduced to prevent the leaves from burning. In February, the environmental humidity, temperature and light conditions should be improved to promote the orchid to enter the growth period. However, it should be noted that the temperature should not be higher than 25 ℃ at any time to prevent injury to it.

When filling the basin, attention should be paid not to damage the orchid rhizome, and prevent the rhizome from contacting with the basin wall. After filling the basin, it should be placed in a light, temperature and humidity suitable and breathable environment, and ensure that the first watering is sufficient.

III. water and fertilizer management

If you want to raise orchids, you should pay attention to the time and amount of watering and fertilization.

When watering, we should pay attention to the use of clean and pollution-free micro acid water. If the roots, buds or leaves of orchids have rotten black spots and other diseases, it is mostly related to the water quality. Watering should be avoided at noon when the sun is strong and the temperature is high.

It is recommended to use farmyard manure, mix 10 to 20 times of water, and then pour it along the basin edge, do not touch the orchid leaves, but pay attention to the maturity of the soil, more than one year is the most appropriate. If applying chemical fertilizer, we must pay attention to balance and strictly control the concentration. If it is a leaf art seedling, in order to control the synthesis of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, we should avoid using nitrogen fertilizer, manganese and magnesium fertilizer.

IV. precautions

There are many diseases that are easy to infect orchids, such as sheath rust, white silk disease, anthrax and scale insects. If you encounter them, you should take corresponding measures in time, and keep the environment temperature and humidity appropriate, so as to prevent further expansion of diseases and insect pests, and harm the orchid itself.
