For potted Bambusa, the light should be reduced in summer, and it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place outdoors. Pay attention to watering more, keep the potted soil moist, and spray water on the leaves and the ground, so as to keep the air moist and make the plants lush and verdant.
In summer, high temperature and drying will dry up the leaves of bamboos. At this time, proper cooling should be carried out to prevent sultry. It shall be placed indoors for maintenance in winter. Control the water content of the plant, control the overgrowth, stop fertilization, and keep the room temperature above 10 ℃.
During the growing period of bamboos, fertilizer should be applied every 20 days. When applying fertilizer, use bean cake water or liquid fertilizer which is thin and rotten. In winter, when the temperature is low and the plant goes into dormancy, fertilization should be stopped and daily care should be maintained.
Fengtailed bamboo can be replaced once every two years. Potted Bambusa should be made up of rotten leaf soil, garden soil and a small amount of suitable mixture.
It can be propagated in ramets or seeds. Ramet propagation can be carried out in early spring. Pour the thickly growing plants out of the soil, then cut the rhizomes with a knife and put them into the basin.
Seed propagation should be carried out in April to May every year, and the seeds should be soaked in warm water for about 2 days before sowing. It can germinate about one and a half months after sowing, the growth of bud is slow, and it can be cultured for half a year.
