Citrus is a fruit tree in South China. It likes warm and humid growing environment, and the suitable growing temperature is about 12-37 ℃. It is required to receive 4-6 hours of sunshine every day.
Keep the basin soil moist, and water it thoroughly. It is better to let the drain hole at the basin bottom ooze water. At the same time to avoid water, timely drainage, or easy to cause rotten roots.
Adhere to the principle of "applying thin fertilizer frequently", apply liquid fertilizer once before the plant sprouts, and then apply liquid fertilizer once every 7-10 or so, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, to promote its growth and more spring shoots. In the growth period of citrus, you can sprinkle some cake fertilizer on the basin surface to enhance the fertility. After autumn, reduce fertilization gradually to avoid over nutrition and fruit falling. Strictly control fertilization in autumn and winter.
Citrus on the soil requirements are not strict, appropriate choice of garden soil, and add a proper amount of sand, ash and rotten organic fertilizer mix.
Because of the limited nutrients, the potted citrus should be pruned and cut down the flowers and fruits in time. Generally every 2 years, we need to change basin and soil, combined with pruning.
