Gardenia need to use a good permeability, pH between 5 - 6 weak acid soil, can use rotten leaf soil, peat soil mixed with half of the garden soil as its culture soil.
Sufficient sunlight is necessary for Gardenia to grow. If there is no light for a long time, its flower branches will be very thin and difficult to bloom. In addition to the need for proper shade in summer, other seasons directly put it in the sun.
Gardenias like wet growth conditions, in addition to winter to keep basin soil wet. When the air is dry in summer, spray some water on its leaves with a watering can, or put a basin of clear water beside its flowerpot to increase the air humidity.
Gardenia is suitable for growing in the environment of 20-28 ℃. When the temperature is too high in summer, it needs to be cooled by certain measures. In winter, it should be kept at 5-12 ℃, not too low, otherwise it will be frozen, not too high, or it will break its dormancy.
1. Acid soil. Usually when watering, you can add one or two drops of vinegar to the water, which can reduce the pH of the soil and make Gardenia grow better.
2. Timely fertilization. Gardenia is more like fertilizer, in its growth period to fertilize it, thin fertilizer frequently. Before flowering, apply some phosphate fertilizer to help it bloom better.
