It is better to plant Rhododendron in indoor and indoor environment. Rhododendron indoor winter, there is sunshine, good ventilation benefits. In other seasons, it's better to put it outdoors in mud. The site should be as spacious as possible and properly shaded.
Rhododendron likes loose and permeable soil with good drainage and pH value between 5 and 6. Try not to use clay or alkaline soil. In particular, some species, such as summer cuckoo and foreign cuckoo, can only use mountain soil.
Rhododendron usually uses two kinds of flowerpots: clay basin and purple sand basin.
The aeration and water permeability of the mud basin is good, and it is mostly used in outdoor maintenance.
The formed Rhododendron, not the formed Rhododendron, usually chooses the beautiful and elegant purple sand basin. Purple sand basin is fine in texture, rich in color and beautiful in shape, which can increase the ornamental value.
Rhododendron best use rainwater, followed by river water, pond water. But now most families choose tap water, which can be placed for 1-2 days to let chlorine evaporate before use. When watering, a small amount of ferrous sulfate can be added. Once every 7-10 days in the growing season, it can be used frequently to keep the soil acid.
(1) be afraid of dryness, dampness and fatness. The roots of Rhododendron are as thin as the hair, and the thick ones are few, so the roots are soaked in the water when watering too much; the branches and leaves shrink when watering too little; the life of Rhododendron will be endangered when fertilizing too much and causing serious fertilizer damage.
(2) place. Rhododendron place is very particular, usually placed in the southeast of the balcony, and often ventilation, less moving. It is easy to suffer from black spot in different winds, and a large number of leaves appear.
(3) trim in time. After the flower withers, prune the remaining flowers in time, cut off the diseased branches, damaged branches and extra long branches to avoid nutrient consumption, and clean up the remaining flowers and leaves on the surface of basin soil. After germination of new branches, the buds and leaves shall be timely thinned, and part of the buds and leaves that are too dense shall be cut off to ensure air circulation.
(4) turn basin to replace soil. Rhododendron grows slowly and does not need to change pots every year. It can be done once every 2-3 years. Don't hurt the roots when changing the basin. Replace half of the new soil. The time of soil change is after flower withering or autumn. After soil change, spray tobujin solution to prevent diseases and insect pests.
(5) pay attention to shade. When the weather turns warm, the flower friends will move the Rhododendron to the outdoor (or balcony) for maintenance, and more sunshine should be seen from leaving the room to flowering. During the flowering period, shading for 40% was needed.
