Special Yulian should be cultivated in sandy soil with good drainage and air permeability to facilitate the removal of excess water and the growth of plant roots; it can be prepared with 1 /3 of rotten leaf soil, sandy soil and garden soil respectively, and it can also be added with river sand and coal cinder.
When the temperature was below 5 ℃, the growth stopped or slight frostbite occurred, and the water freezing cells in the leaves were necrotic. In winter and summer, when the temperature is too high (higher than 35 ℃) or too low (lower than 5 ℃), the plant stops growing. At this time, the watering should be temporarily reduced or stopped, and the watering frequency should be restored when the temperature is appropriate.
The more abundant the light and the greater the temperature difference between day and night, the more colorful the leaves are. If the temperature allows, it is better to put it outside for maintenance to ensure sufficient light.
The whole plant is light green or dark green, the leaves are sparse and elongated, and the growth is accelerated, which seriously affects the ornamental, and even may die due to the blocked photosynthesis.
The water content of the plant itself is very high, and the large amount of water can easily lead to rot. Recommended watering interval: once every 10 days or so, fully dry. It can be adjusted according to the climatic conditions.
The fertilization should not be too much, especially nitrogen fertilizer. It is better to apply thin fertilizer mainly P and K once a month.
It can be propagated by sowing, cutting leaves, dividing plants and beheading.
Common pests: scale insects. It can be killed with Carbendazim and other chemicals.
Common diseases: Black rot. Once the disease occurs, cut off the lesion, dry the wound and spray chlorothalonil.
