The requirement of Lingjian lotus on soil is not very high. It can be used loose and fertile sandy loam with good drainage. As long as attention is paid to the maintenance, the soil should not be hardened, and ordinary soil can be used.
During the growth and development of Lingjian lotus, watering should be dry and wet. Pay attention not to accumulate water in the basin, otherwise it is easy to cause rotten roots. When the flower bud has appeared but not yet opened, watering should not be more, otherwise it will lead to falling flower.
In the dry and windy spring and summer, we should often use clear water to spray the stems and leaves, and spray water on the surrounding ground to maintain high air humidity, which is more conducive to growth and flowering.
Lingjian lotus likes a warm and humid environment, but it can't be directly exposed to the sun. When the weather is hot in summer, the sun is strong. Put the plants under the shade, avoid direct sunlight, and often spray water or water on the surrounding ground to increase the air humidity. It's cold in winter. The lotus of Lingjian is not hardy. You should put it in a sunny place after entering the house.
Lingjian lotus is not hardy to cold. It should enter the house before and after the cold dew festival in the north, and let out the sunshine after entering the house. From November to March, the curing temperature of Lingjian lotus was kept between 10 ~ 15 ℃, and the temperature should not be too high. Above 25 ℃, it is easy to cause the plant to grow in vain and affect the plant shape. From March to June, the temperature should be kept between 13 ~ 18 ℃. If the temperature is too low, it will affect the pregnancy.
Because the abnormal stem of Lingjian lotus is soft, it needs a thin bamboo pole as a support. It's better to tie it into an oval bracket, and distribute the abnormal stem on the bracket orderly and evenly, so that it can not only prevent breaking, but also facilitate ventilation and light transmission, and make the shape of the plant symmetrical and beautiful.
Lingjian lotus likes to be fattened. In the growing season, it should be fertilized once every 15-20 days. After the Spring Festival, we should apply liquid fertilizer every 10 days, and wipe off too many lateral buds and buds sprouting from the base in time to reduce nutrient consumption and keep the plant shape neat and beautiful. In the budding stage, 1-2 times of quick acting phosphate fertilizer was applied to promote the flower color.
