Raw stone flower is not strict to environmental conditions, so it is easy to cultivate and manage. The common multi meat planting soil can be prepared by mixing 4 parts of rotten leaf soil, 3 parts of calcareous materials (shell powder, eggshell powder, ash wall chips, etc.) and 3 parts of river sand.
The potting and planting of raw stone flowers are carried out in autumn. When the potting is changed, take out the plants from the soil, shake off the soil at the roots, and try not to hurt the capillary roots. Cut off the rotten and dried old roots and plant them with new culture soil. The adaptability of raw stone flower is very strong, and different varieties of raw stone flower will not repel each other, so different varieties can be planted in a basin.
From February to April in spring is the molting period of stone flowers. At this time, fertilization should be stopped and watering should be controlled so that the old skin will dry up as soon as possible. Some people like to peel off the old skin with their hands when there are signs of molting in the raw stone flowers, so that the small plants in it can receive sunlight as soon as possible, promote their growth, and make them short, strong and solid. However, inexperienced growers will hurt the plants, so be careful when operating. A compound fertilizer was applied after molting to promote the healthy growth of young plants.
Watering time is generally at night or in the early morning when the temperature is low, do not water when the temperature is high in the daytime, so as to avoid damage to the plant due to the sudden decrease of temperature. During cultivation, it is necessary to avoid rain, especially long-term rain or rainstorm, or the top of the plant will be broken due to excessive water absorption. Avoid long-term humid environment of basin soil, which is easy to grow moss.
Raw stone flowers like sunshine, but they are not resistant to strong light. In summer, when you put it in half shade, or give it 50% shade, the leaf color will be more beautiful. In the spring and Autumn Festival, the temperature is not very high, we should give it direct sunlight, in order to facilitate its photosynthesis and accumulation of nutrients. In winter, it should be maintained indoors in bright light.
The optimum growth temperature of raw stone flower is 15 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, it is afraid of high temperature and sultry, and it enters into dormancy state in summer when the temperature is over 33 ℃. Only when the temperature is controlled above 10 ℃ in winter, can the winter survive safely. When the temperature drops below 7 ℃ in winter, it will also enter the dormancy state. If the ambient temperature is close to 4 ℃, it will die of frostbite.
Because the root system of raw stone flower is not developed, it is best to use a small basin, and the basin should not be too deep, 8-10cm is enough.
The best growth period of raw stone flower is from late autumn to next spring, which is the most critical period of maintenance and also the growth period. The high temperature in summer is not suitable for its growth, so it is dormancy period. Therefore, attention should be paid to the water and temperature control of growth period and dormancy during maintenance.
