Suitable seedbed should be selected for cutting of Sweet osmanthus. The seedbed can be sandy loam instead of clay heavy soil. The pH value is kept at about 5.5-7.0, and alkaline soil cannot be used, otherwise it is unfavorable for growth. Before use, the seedbed should be treated and sprayed with carbendazim solution, which can play the role of disinfection and sterilization.
Cutting cuttings from the mother plant requires good growth without any diseases and pests. Keep two leaves at the top, about 7-10CM in length, and keep the incision flat. If cutting is not carried out immediately, seal the incision at the bottom with clay or paraffin, put it in a well ventilated place in the room, and timely spray water to keep wet.
In order to improve the rooting rate, the rooting powder can be dipped and then inserted into the seedbed, the depth is about 1 /3 ~ 1 /2 of the cuttings.
After cutting, the surrounding soil will be compacted, and then watered fully, covered with plastic film, which can maintain the temperature and humidity. After that, do not touch the strong sunlight. You can build a sunscreen to block it and prevent the growing leaves from withering. Maintain the surrounding temperature and wait for the later rooting.
