Dishenglan is usually cultivated at home. It is quite common. It can be divided into the following categories:
1. Chunlan: it is one of the longest cultivated varieties in China. It blooms from February to March, with fragrance and great color change. Songmei, Wanzi, laoshiyuan, wangzi and so on are all its classifications.
2. Cymbidium: it is widely distributed, with thick and long roots and mostly yellow or green flowers. Dayi products, fresh green, end Huimei are all its varieties.
3. Jianlan: also known as sijilan, the stem is strong and straight, the leaves are green, the flowers are various, the fragrance is very strong, and the flowers can be seen from May to December. It contains many traditional famous products, generally divided into two categories: color heart and plain heart.
4. Mulan: it is also called baosui orchid. Its leaves are dark green and glossy. The color of the flowers is various. The flowering period is from January to March.
5. Hanlan: the flowers are thin and small, and they will grow a little longer. The flowering period is from October to December.
This kind of plant is a semi parasitic plant, which grows on other plants, also known as tropical orchid, which is customarily called orchid. Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, Oncidium and so on all belong to this kind.
This kind grows on the ground, but there is no green leaf. The scape is relatively upright, showing a purple red color. The flowering period is from June to August.
