Because the root system of Pitaya is shallow, it needs to choose a shallow flowerpot with a bottom hole and good air permeability. This ensures that its roots can breathe smoothly. If you don't know what material to choose, mud basin is recommended. Do not use plastic basin, because its permeability is not good, not suitable for plant growth.
Because it likes the weak acid flower soil with more gaps inside, before planting it, you can prepare some rotten leaf soil, base fertilizer and coarse sand, mix them evenly according to the proportion of 6:1:1, and then make the flower soil.
First, disinfect the flower soil and flowerpot respectively, and then put the soil into the basin. After that, prepare a healthy plant, choose a better growing branch from it, cut it off, put it into disinfectant and rooting agent, and then put it in the air to dry.
On the prepared flower soil, poke a hole with chopsticks, then put the prepared branches into it, gather the surrounding flower soil with hands, and fill and compact the hole. After that, put it in a cool place, water it in time, keep the soil a little wet all the time, wait for it to take root.
