The simple and easy to feed pothos is a necessary green plant for many people. Today, let's see how to breed it. Here we mainly introduce three common methods: cutting, pressing and water cutting. Let's have a look.

I. cutting

1. Select branches

It is generally recommended to select mature and robust strips of paper from the center of the plant, so as to facilitate the penetration of the middle branches and leaves. The selected paper strip has three or four blades, and the length is controlled at about ten centimeters.

2. Select matrix

The choice of cutting medium is very important, choose loose, fertile and clean soil, but it must not be with fertilizer, fertilizer will inhibit the production of new roots, is not conducive to the survival of the pothos.

3. Later maintenance

After planting, place the pothos in a cool and ventilated place, and pay attention to avoid strong direct light for cutting seedlings. If the humidity in the home is low and the air is too dry, plastic film can be covered on the cutting leaves. If the number of cutting is relatively small, it can also be buckled with a disposable paper cup to play the role of heat preservation and moisture preservation.

2. Pressing

There are air roots in the knots of the pothos. Using this feature, we can select the longer branches of the pothos and bury them in the soil without cutting off, so as to ensure that the soil can cover the knots of the pothos and let the air roots play a role. In about 20 days and a month, the root will be produced. After the root grows, it can be cut off from the mother, dug out from the soil and transplanted into a new flowerpot.

Layering

3. Water plug

Put the cut branch (as required above) in a cool place for about 20 minutes. The wound will dry slowly. Then add water in a clean container and put it into the branch. Change the water once a week or so. It can be observed that the new root grows out slowly. After the new root grows out, you can choose soil culture or water culture. If soil culture is needed, the new root grows to about 10 cm. It was transplanted
