The propagation of crabapple is mainly based on cutting. The cutting substrate needs to have good performance, not only good drainage function and permeability, but also good water and air retention function. For example, perlite, peat ash, vermiculite and furnace ash can be used together. However, it must be disinfected before use. At the same time, the bottom of the substrate needs to be paved with appropriate amount of plant materials rich in corrosive nutrients, and the bottom of the substrate is best to use larger particles of plant materials to lay the drainage layer.
After cutting, it is necessary to avoid the sudden drop of air relative humidity. It is better to keep it above 70%, especially before rooting. It is recommended to keep the air relative humidity at 90%
After cutting, the light should not be too much or too little, otherwise it will affect the growth of adventitious roots and the supply of nutrients. It is better to put it in a cool place with astigmatism. Do not direct sunlight, nor can it be completely dark
The most suitable temperature for cutting is between 20 ℃ and 35 ℃, which can reduce the damage caused by rotten bacteria. And the change of temperature sooner or later is easier to take root than constant temperature.
After cutting, we should choose the suitable temperature and substrate, keep high relative humidity of air and avoid direct sunlight. Once the mycelium is found in the substrate, the fungicide should be used in time for spraying. Everyone should remember, don't move and touch casually because of anxiety.
