Generally in the family maintenance, cutting is a more ideal way of propagation. When cutting, Ping'an tree usually chooses in spring and autumn. If it is indoor heating in winter in the north, cutting can also be carried out in the breeding box.
When cutting, you should select the branches of the current year. Generally, you should select the branches with a length of 15 cm to 20 cm. The lower part of the branches should be cut into horseshoe shape with a sharp blade. The upper leaves should be kept 1 to 2, and the other leaves should be removed. The remaining leaves can also reduce its transpiration by cutting half of the leaves.
Cutting media can be peat and vermiculite, according to the ratio of 1:1.
Water the substrate, dip the lower cut of the branch with rooting powder, insert the cuttings into the substrate for about two fingers, and press the surrounding substrate firmly. To ensure that the cuttings are moist enough, if it is dry, spray can be used to improve its humidity. When you can see the sprouting of new buds of Ping'an tree, it is proved that it has survived. In spring and autumn, it can take root and sprout in 20 to 30 days, and then transplant it into a flowerpot.
