Before cutting fingers, prepare branches and pot soil. Pick a branch about 30 cm long from the top of ivy and cut it into three cuttings when you go home. When cutting, make sure that the leaves are complete and there is no insect mark on the top of the branches. There are ivy in many places. Cutting one section will not affect its growth.
After cutting off, it's better to wrap the end fracture of the branch with a paper towel, and then wet the paper towel and cover it with a plastic bag to avoid evaporation and drying of the branch. Cut off the bottom leaves when you get home.
Go home and find a few disposable plastic cups and poke holes in the bottom to replace the flowerpot. This kind of flowerpot has several advantages: it has less soil and its branches are not easy to rot. Secondly, the cup is transparent, can clearly see the rooting situation, and can be transplanted in time. And the floor area is small.
After putting the soil in the cup, use chopsticks to poke a few small holes in the soil, and insert the branches into the cup, basically one for each cup. Press it gently with your fingers to prevent the branches from tilting when watering.
After cutting, water and put it in a sunny place. At the beginning, pour more water once every two days. After a week, gradually reduce the number of times of watering, and then pour when the soil is dry. Control the temperature between 15 ~ 20 ℃, about 20 days can take root. After rooting, do not transplant immediately. Let the seedlings grow in the cup for a period of time. After another month, the roots develop well, and then they can be transplanted into the basin.
Transplanting is also very simple. You can plant the seedlings upright in the soil. After transplanting, put it in the shade for about 1 week to slow down the seedlings, and then maintain it normally. Like a big pot of friends, you can plant two plants in a flowerpot, relative growth.
