Cyclamen is a perennial early plant. Tubers are oblate, about 4-5cm in diameter, with the epidermis of cork branches, brown. Its leaves and scape are drawn from the top of the tuber at the same time. The petiole is longer, about 5-18 cm.
The leaves of Cyclamen are heart-shaped and oval, with a diameter of about 3-14cm. The apex is slightly blunt, the edge has fine round teeth, and the upper part is dark green, usually with light colored stripes.
The scape of Cyclamen is about 15-20cm high. The calyx usually splits to the base. The lobes are triangular or oblong. The Corolla is white or rose red. The throat is dark purple. The tube is nearly hemispherical. The lobes are oblong lanceolate, 3.5-5 times longer than the tube.
