How to distinguish grass coral

Stem: with very swollen nodes, up to 50-10 cm. Leaf blade: leathery, elliptic or ovate to ovate lanceolate, with a sharp tip at the top, a sharp or cuneate tip at the bottom, and a rough sharp serrate margin. Flowers: yellow green, spikes are terminal, bracts are triangular. Fruit: spherical, 3-4 mm in diameter, bright red when ripe.

2. Blade

3. Flowers

The flowers of Caoshanhu are yellow green, spikes are terminal and usually branched. Bracts are triangular, stamens are 1, rod to cylinder.

Fruit

Its drupe is globose, width is about 3-4 millimeter, open in August to October, turn bright red after ripening.
