Rehmannia glutinosa is a perennial herb, about 10-30cm high, covered with gray white glandular hair and villus. Its rhizome is fleshy, yellow when fresh, and purple red when fresh.
The leaves of Rehmannia glutinosa usually show a rosette shape at the base of the stem, and shrink strongly to bracts upward, or gradually shrink to alternate on the stem. The whole leaf blade is ovate to oblong. The upper color is green, the lower color will be purple or purplish red, with serrations or teeth on the edge.
Dihuang flower will form a raceme at the top of the stem, or it will be scattered in the axils of the leaves and spread to the stem, the apex is slightly concave or blunt, the inner color is yellow purple, the outer color is purple red, both sides are villous.
Rehmannia glutinosa is a capsule, which is oval to long oval, about 1-1.5 cm long.
