The whole plant is about 1-1.2 meters high, the rhizome is relatively upright, thick and short, woody, dark brown, thick about 2-3 cm, the apex has dense scales, linear, about 1-1.7 cm long, the apex is fibrous and curly, the edge has curly long cilia, dark brown, membranous.
The leaves of the Nest Fern are clustered, in the form of broad lanceolate, about 90-120cm long, thick paper or thin leather, dark straw color, smooth surface, gray green color after drying, no hair on both sides. The apex has a sharp head, the middle part is wider, the widest part is about 9-15 cm, and it will become narrow gradually downward. There is a wide longitudinal groove on it, the edge is full and there is a narrow change of soft bone.
