At the beginning, the leaves of fuguizi grow to oblanceolate shape, the top is sharp or acuminate, the base is wedge-shaped, about 7-15 cm long, about 2-4 cm wide, the edge has wavy teeth, and there are obvious marginal gland points, both sides are glabrous. There are 12-18 pairs of lateral veins, forming irregular marginal veins, petioles about 1 cm long.
The flowers of fuguizi are umbels or cymes, which grow on the top of the special lateral branches. The petals are white, and the few are slightly pink. When they are in full bloom, they are reversed and oval. The flowering period is from May to June.
The fruit is spherical, about 6-8 mm in diameter, bright red in color, with glandular spots. The fruit period is from October to December, sometimes from February to April.
