The most commonly used method of Chinese rose grafting is cutting. It can be done from November to January every year. Of course, cutting in December will greatly improve the survival rate.
To cut and join the rose, first cut off the thorns on the rose branches with a knife, and then cut off the scion with a knife. Pay attention to avoid damaging the axillary buds, leaving two strong buds on each scion to be cut. After that, use a knife to cut a knife on both sides of the bud first from the front, then from the back, to cut the knife obliquely
Secondly, the cut scion should be inserted into the rootstock skin to ensure a stable joint between the two. The cut and connected seedlings should be tied up from top to bottom with a 1cm plastic belt. The connected seedlings should be planted in a high clay pot. Before planting, first lay a layer of soil on the bottom of the pot, put the connected seedlings into the soil for planting, and then cover the root of the anvil with some soil, and firm it. Then cover the scion with soil, just show the top bud.
Finally, cover the basin with a piece of paper, the newspaper can, and then put it in the wooden foot basin, make a skeleton with wire and cover with a layer of film, which can keep warm. When the day can be in the outdoor sun, at noon to uncover the film, ventilation, move back to the room at night. So don't water in a week.
When the new buds grow out, you can take off the newspaper. When the leaves grow out, you can also take off the film. It can be cured in the open air. In April, you need to transplant and pick the flower buds.
