Clean the glass bottle, and pour in half of the bottle of water, preferably cold boiled water (if you use tap water, you need to put it outside in advance to dry for a few days to remove the chlorine), and disinfect the scissors and blades that will cut the branches.
The long branches of Paeonia suffruticosa were cut into several short sections with the sterilized scissors, and the length was about 10 cm higher than that of the glass bottle. Then keep the upper part of the shorter branches still, and remove the leaves and side branches in the lower part. After doing these works, take clean things and lay them on a dry and ventilated place. Put the cut short parts on the air to dry the wound. Remember not to let the branches contaminate the unclean things. It is easy to infect the germs and cause the branches to necrosis.
Insert the branches of the wound to be dried into the glass bottle, the lower part of which is about 5cm into the water, and then place the glass bottle in a cool and ventilated place. It's better to keep the temperature between 15 ℃ and 20 ℃, so that it can take root in a week or so. The lower the temperature is, the slower the rooting is. It may take more than a month in winter.
After its rooting, it can be cultured in water or transferred to flowerpot soil.
In the early stage of hydroponics, if the temperature is high, in order to prevent water deterioration, water should be changed once every three days or so. If the temperature is low in winter, water should be changed once every 15 days or so. There is no need to add nutrient solution to the rooting process.
Water culture peony Chlorophytum can not be directly exposed to the sun, which will lead to rapid wilting of branches. It should be placed in a cool place with plenty of light.
