Select healthy and full seeds, some seeds are mature, but there is no obvious micropyle, the affinity of pollination is not strong, and there is self pollination, this kind of seed is not easy to seedling, or seedling growth is weak.
The seed coat of Clivia is very tough, and the seed cortex is hard and smooth, so it is not easy to get water, but its navel can get water quickly. So before sowing, soak the seeds in 40 ℃ warm water to make the seed coat and endosperm soften and expand slowly. After about 24 to 36 hours, pull out the seeds and air them a little.
Prepare the container, add the fine sand matrix into the container, spread a layer of sawdust on the fine sand, spread the seeds on it, and then cover with a layer of sawdust, keep the room temperature at 20 to 25 ℃, and germinate at about 40 ℃. Wait until the seed is released, the bud root grows to 2cm, then it can be transplanted to the prepared flowerpot for maintenance.
