Lei Tong's requirements on soil are not strict. Peat soil plus coarse sand can keep water permeability.
From September to June of the second year is the growth period of the plant (the environment of Huayou is different, and the growth period is also long and short). If the light is insufficient, the plant is easy to grow in vain, and the distance between the leaves will be longer, making the plant more loose, the stem is very fragile and tender, the leaves will also be elongated, and the color will be light green. But in the sunny place, the plant type is relatively short and strong, the arrangement of leaves will be relatively compact, and leitong's growth is not too slow.
It is necessary to keep the soil slightly wet and avoid ponding during the growth period of thunder children.
The water supply is basically cut off in the whole winter. The water supply will be cut off slowly below 5 ℃. When the temperature is over 35 ℃ in summer, the growth of the whole plant basically stops. At this time, watering should be reduced to prevent root rot caused by excessive moisture of basin soil. It is worth noting that in summer, water is not cut off in the whole season, but only a small amount of water is given, otherwise the old leaves are easy to dry up. Water is only provided on the edge of the basin, about 2-4 times a month, and around 7-9 p.m. in the evening. At this time, the sun has gone down and will not affect the roots of plants.
In the cultivation of leitong, it is necessary to avoid long-term rain, damage to roots and yellow rot of branches. Due to the relatively fast growth of leitong, it's almost the same to change the basin once every 1-2 years. Change the basin before the first watering in early spring.
Leitong plant shape is not too large, but there are branches, propagation can be cut and branch. Branch cutting is very simple. Take off the healthy old branches and dry them in the slightly wet sand.
Cool and ventilated for more than 20 days, the roots will grow basically. When cutting, do not often supply water, or it is easy to rot the stem. Cutting should choose spring and autumn.
