The best soil for cultivating aloe is the soil with good drainage, water retention, air permeability and fertilizer storage performance. The soil with poor drainage and air permeability is easy to cause root respiration obstruction and root rot necrosis. Generally, humus + garden soil + river sand are used to prepare aloe soil in the proportion of 2:2:1.
The best choice for planting aloe basin is clay basin, porcelain basin and plastic basin have poor air permeability, so it is better not to use them. After the new basin is replaced, it shall be soaked with water to avoid that the wall of the basin is half dry and half wet after being put into the basin, and the plant cannot serve the basin well.
Aloe originally grew in the desert environment without frost all the year round, and was afraid of cold. The optimum growth temperature is 5 ~ 15 ℃ and humidity is 5% ~ 45%. When the room temperature drops to 5 ℃, aloe will stop growing reversely. When the room temperature is 0 ℃, aloe will grow abnormally.
Aloe Vera is known as the "immortal plant in drought", so no watering generally has little effect, but if the soil has accumulated water for a long time, it will cause rotten roots. Generally, water once every 5-7 days in spring; once every 2-3 days in summer to avoid sun exposure and volatilization of water; once every 5-7 days in autumn. In winter, when the temperature is above 15 ℃, water once every 15-20 days.
Aloe needs enough sunshine to grow well. In addition to the aloe that has just been planted, you can only see the sunshine in the morning. In other times, you should spend more time in the sun. The more abundant the sunshine, the better the growth.
(1) avoid heavy head and light foot. During the growth of aloe, there are many buds growing at the bottom. Many flower friends will break off the buds in order to reproduce aloe, but this will cause instability of the foundation. The right way is: don't rush to break off the buds, let them grow, and plant them separately after the foundation is stable.
(2) strengthen ventilation. Aloe rarely infected with diseases and insect pests, but in hot and humid weather, humidity is too high, the wind is not proper, the leaves will appear brown spots. In addition, when fertilizing, the fertilizer contact with the leaves will also cause burns.
