The leaves on the vegetative branches are usually single leaf, heart-shaped and smaller.
Leaf epidermis is usually light green, a little is pale white, its young leaves and autumn leaves are purple red. Generally speaking, the flowering period of Parthenocissus heterophylla is June.
The main feature is that the leaves on the flower branches are finger like compound leaves, leaflets are 3-5, most of which are 5, obovate or oval, 6-14cm long and 2-5cm wide. Bilateral symmetry, base not oblique, abaxial veins slightly pilose, lateral veins 7-10 pairs, convex on both sides, petiole 0.5-1 cm long. Cymose panicles spreading, opposite or terminal to leaves on lateral branches. The flowering period is from June to July, and the fruit ripening period is from September to October.
