Cactus is a kind of plant with strong drought resistance. It can be fed without watering for a long time, so it is better to keep. But it is not waterlogged, so watering can be less, not more, otherwise it is easy to submerge the roots, leading to plant death. At the same time, we should avoid frostbite at low temperature, and take measures to keep warm in winter.
1. Light: Cactus belongs to light loving plants. To give it enough light, and it is not afraid of the sun, even strong light does not matter. But the long-term lack of light will lead to its poor growth, so we should put it in the sun.
2. Temperature: cactus is afraid of cold, and it is easy to be frostbitten in low temperature environment. In winter, it should be placed in a warm place indoors, and the temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃. If the room temperature is not enough, the upper part of the plant can be covered with plastic bags for heat preservation.
3. Watering: cactus is drought resistant and waterlogged, so it must not be watered too much. And the matrix usually chooses the sandy soil with better drainage, which must not allow water to accumulate inside, otherwise it will hinder the root's respiration, leading to its decay and death.
4. Fertilization: cactus can grow in poor areas, so there is little demand for fertilizer. When planting and changing soil, we should add a little basic fertilizer. In the growing period, we can apply a little compound fertilizer to provide nutrients for it.
