Thyme likes to have enough sunlight, but it can also withstand the semi overcast environment. It does not have high requirements for light. It can be placed in a bright place every day. In summer, it can not contact the direct light to prevent the branches and leaves from being burned. In winter, the intensity of light is reduced, and all light can be contacted.
Its adaptability is relatively strong, there is not much choice for soil, ordinary soil can meet the growth, but it grows best in deep, well drained sandy loam. It is not allowed to use soil with poor drainage, otherwise, there will be more precipitation in rainy season and it is difficult to discharge.
The most suitable temperature for growth is 20-25 ℃, which can't stand the hot weather. If the temperature is over 35 ℃, the growth will obviously weaken, the number of flowers will be rare, the flowers will be relatively small, and the ornamental will be poor.
In the growth period, timely replenish water to prevent long-term drought from affecting the growth, but the number and quantity of water should not be too much, otherwise there will be water accumulation. The climate in summer is quite hot, with strong evaporation. It can be watered once a day, and it needs to be watered in time to keep wet.
Regular fertilization for normal growth, more fertilization before flowering, liquid fertilizer every 5-7 days.
