Cycas is a light loving plant, slightly shade tolerant. It can be planted in the half shade or where there is astigmatism. But be careful not to put it in too dark a place, and the light should not be too strong.
It has certain requirements for soil, rich in organic matter and easy to drain. Good soil helps it grow. It's best to plant it in acid soil which is easy to drain, soft and fertile.
It likes to be warm and not hardy. The optimum temperature for its growth is 20-28 ℃, and the overwintering temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃. In winter, it needs to be protected against cold.
It has a certain degree of drought resistance, and avoid waterlogging. In its growth period, it can be watered a little more to promote its growth. However, the amount of water should not be too large to prevent the normal growth of roots. It doesn't need too much water in winter.
From March to September every year, it needs to be treated with thin liquid fertilizer. Apply fertilizer once a week to effectively promote leaf growth.
