Berberis likes light and shade, but it can't be irradiated by strong light. In the maintenance, it should be placed in a place with better light, so that it can receive more light, so that it can grow better. It needs to be properly shaded in midsummer to avoid sunburn.
It has strong adaptability and lax requirements on soil. The sandy loam with good fertility and easy drainage can be used for planting, but it can also grow in other soils.
It likes a cool environment, and the temperature suitable for its growth is 15-20 ℃. It has a strong cold resistance, except in the north, it will not be frostbitten in winter.
It likes to be wet. In its growth period, it grows vigorously and needs to be supplemented with water in time. In autumn and winter, the temperature gradually decreases and its growth slows down, which can make the soil dry.
It prefers fertilizer. In the growing period, it needs to apply thin liquid fertilizer which is rotten once every 20 days or so. During its flowering period, potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution should be sprayed to the leaves once a week to promote its fruit setting.
