Adiantum can stand shade, and is afraid of direct sunlight. It can be kept in a bright place in the room to ensure that it can provide 2-4 hours of scattered light every day. It needs to be shaded in summer, so as not to cause yellow leaves due to strong direct light.
Basin soil must have good water permeability and air permeability. Generally, peat soil or rotten leaf soil rich in humus is used for planting, and about 1 /3 of coarse sand and fine sand are added, and some bone meal is added to prepare the soil.
Adiantum is warm and the suitable temperature for growth is 15-25 ℃. The best temperature is 21-25 ℃ during the day and 12-15 ℃ at night. In winter, when the temperature is above 5 ℃, the leaves still keep green, and when the temperature is below 5 ℃, they will be frostbitten.
Adiantum is fond of humid environment, water shortage will cause leaf atrophy. In the peak growing season, we should fully water the plants, and also spray water around the plants to improve the air humidity. When watering, the basin soil should not be dry or wet, so as to prevent the leaves from turning yellow.
During the growing period, Hefei or pancake fertilizer should be applied once a month. It likes calcium fertilizer, and 10.1% calcium nitrate solution is applied every week during the vigorous growth period. Do not stain the leaves when applying fertilizer, so as not to cause the leaves to wither and yellow.
