Balanopsis is more shade resistant, can not be exposed to the sun, so as to avoid burning leaves. It can be planted in a cool environment. In summer, we need to pay attention to shade to avoid leaf aging.
It is not very demanding on soil. The potted soil should be a loam with good fertility, looseness and water retention, and the peat soil or rotten leaf soil is the best.
It likes warm and humid environment. The optimum temperature for its growth is 20-25 ℃, which is easy to cause frost damage below 5 ℃. When the temperature is above 32 ℃, it will stop growing.
It likes to be wet. During its growth, it needs to be watered frequently to provide it with sufficient water. Water can be poured every 3-4 days in winter. Spray the leaves with water close to the room temperature every 7-10 days to keep the plants green and fresh.
It prefers fat. From April to September, the water should be applied once every 15 days, which can make its leaves green and shiny. Its roots are tender, so it is not allowed to apply raw or concentrated fertilizer to avoid burning roots.
