If the tulip does not need to collect seeds after flowering, it is necessary to cut off the residual flowers in time so that the nutrients can be used for the growth of new bulbs.
When the tulip leaves turn yellow, they start to dig the bulbs. Too early or too late will cause unnecessary trouble for tulip. After the bulbs are dug, the soil should be removed and placed in a cool place. According to the size, they should be put into paper bags.
The newly dug bulbs should be stored in a place with air circulation for breeding, preferably indoors. Because the stem, leaf and flower of tulip need to differentiate during storage, the temperature of storage should be 15-18 ℃.
In the process of storage, it is necessary to check the bulbs frequently to see if they are rotten. If found, they need to be discarded in time to prevent rat damage.
Tulip needs to be seeded and propagated so as to obtain better varieties, increase the implementation of P and K fertilizer in flowering period, and reduce watering for artificial pollination. When tulip blossoms, the pollen will fall, so it needs to be divided in the morning, put in the mature pistil in the flower heart, bagging, three times in a row. After the fruit of the plant is fully mature, it should be collected in time, put in the indoor ventilation place, put the seeds in the paper bag, and wait for sowing.
