The leaves of aloe vera are fleshy and green in color. They are arranged mutually when they are young. When they grow up, they turn into whorls. The leaves are lanceolate and fleshy. There are light yellow serrated barbels on the edge of the leaves. There are light yellow fleshy bulges on the surface and back of the leaves.
The leaves of Cape aloe are usually 30 to 40, clustered at the top of the stem, 2 meters long and 30 cm wide, with sharp spines on the edge and back, dark green or blue green in color, and white powder on the leaves.
Night city aloe flower is tubular, orange red color, usually in late winter or early spring.
Cape aloe panicle, up to about 1 meter, perianth has 6 pieces, tubular, light red or yellow green color.
