The leaves of diqian are relatively flat, multiple dichotomous branches, light green or dark green in color, about 1cm in width and 10cm in length, with wavy edges, and most of them will be interlaced into pieces. There are hexagonal air chambers on the back, 6 rows of purple scales on the ventral side, and a heart-shaped attachment on the tip of the scales.
The leaf color of Selaginella is green or brownish yellow, which is scaly, with long awn at the apex, brownish black membrane edge at the back, oval oblong ventral leaf, arranged obliquely upward, with membrane edge and fine serration.
When the local money propagates, it propagates with spores. And Selaginella uses seeds to reproduce.
Diqian grows in a dry environment. And Selaginella is growing in humid environment.
