The difference between Dendrobium and Dendrobium candidum

One, the difference of stem

The stem of Dendrobium is erect, slightly flat and cylindrical, about 10-60 cm long, about 1.3 cm thick, slightly curved at the upper part, and obviously narrowed at the base. It has no branches and many nodes.

The stem of Dendrobium candidum is cylindrical. Compared with the former, it is shorter and thinner, about 9-35cm long and 2-4mm thick. It is also unbranched, with many nodes, internode length about 1.3-1.7 cm.

2. Blade difference

The leaves of Dendrobium candidum are paper, oblong lanceolate, and not as wide as the former, about 3-7 cm long and 9-15 mm wide. Its leaf edge and middle rib will be lavender, and the leaf sheath also has purple spots.

The difference between flowers

The flowers of Dendrobium are larger, the petals are wide and oval, the color is white and has purple apex.
