First of all, in terms of flowering time, although their flowers start to open in May and June, the former usually only opens to August, and the latter to November. In terms of flower type, the former is usually a single flower, while the latter usually has three or more flowers blooming together; the former's calyx is generally split into 5 pieces, and the latter 8-9 pieces.
If they haven't blossomed, we can distinguish them from the flowers and leaves. Although the flowers and leaves of the two are oval, very thick green, shiny, but they have a very obvious difference, that is, the length. The former is usually about 12 cm long, while the latter is about 3-8cm long. From this point, we can easily distinguish them
If they have flower buds in April and may, we can distinguish them accordingly. In contrast, the former has a sharp bud, while the latter has a round one.
The former fruit is egg shaped, larger, 1.5-7cm long, 1.2-2cm in diameter, mostly yellow or orange red, with straight edges on it, a cavity inside, and many seeds inside, while the latter fruit is spherical, smaller, about 1cm in diameter, purple black.
We can also pull out its leaves and observe its main branches to distinguish them. The former is gray, the latter is brown.
