Leaf difference: the leaves of kidney bean are opposite to each other, in the shape of broad egg or rhomboid circle; the feather like compound leaves of lentil are in the shape of wide triangle egg. Flower difference: four bean raceme, flowers grow on the top of the total pedicel, white, yellow or purple flowers; lentil raceme, petals are round, white or purple flowers. Fruit difference: the pods of four seasons are strip-shaped; the pods of lentils are long and round sickle shaped.

One, leaf difference

The leaves of kidney bean are opposite to each other. They are nearly heart-shaped. The top leaflets are broad ovate or rhomboid ovate. They are about 4 to 16 cm long and 3 to 11 cm wide. The leaf apex is sharp, the base is round or wide wedge-shaped. The veins on both sides are villous and the leaflets on the side are slanted.

Lentil pinnate compound leaves, leaflets are wide triangular ovate, 6 to 10 cm long, about the same width and growth, with lateral leaflets, on both sides of unequal size, acute or acuminate apex.

The difference between flowers

The flower grows on the top of the total pedicel, the bracteoles are oblique, the Corolla is white, yellow, lavender or purple, and grows about 1.5 to 2 cm.

Lentil racemes, 15 to 25 cm long, with stout rachis, white or purple corolla and round petals.

3. Fruit difference

The pods are strip-shaped, slightly swollen, 10 to 15 cm long, about 1 cm wide, glabrous, straight or slightly curved. Four to eight seeds

string beans

The pods of lentils are oblong, sickle shaped, flat, broad near the top, about 5 to 7 cm long and about 1.4 to 1.8 cm wide. Three to five seeds
