Lettuce leaves are alternate, lanceolate or long ovate, about 6 to 15 cm long and about 1.5 to 6.5 cm wide. The top of the leaf is sharp or gradually sharp. When the leaf surface is flat, there are folds. The leaf does not have a petiole. The base of the leaf is a heart-shaped or arrow shaped semi phimosis. The edge is wavy or zigzag, and gradually becomes smaller upward. All the leaves are hairless on both sides. The color is green, light green, dark green or purple red.
The flower of lettuce is a panicle formed at the top of stem and branch. The flower is light yellow.
The head of lettuce is mostly or extremely many, arranged in a panicle at the top of the branch, the flowers are light yellow, and the inflorescence has about 20 flowers.
