The flowers of the Platanus have two major characteristics: drooping flowers, petals do not open. These two points are the main points to distinguish the two.
In fact, the flowers of Platanus and Zhu Jin are very similar, but when Zhu Jin is in full bloom, the flowers are upward. Sometimes when Zhu Jin blooms, its flowers look like drooping, but if Zhu Jin's receptacle grows upward and the bracts also grow upward, that's Zhu Jin's flowers. On the contrary, if the flower hangs down, it is the sycamore.
Zhu Jin's flowers are in full bloom, the petals unfold, showing the stamens. But the Platanus does shy with timid will close the petals, only the pistil exposed petals.
In short, the flowers of Platanus are relatively small, while those of Zhu Jin are relatively large. Comparatively speaking, the flowers of Zhu Jin are nearly twice as large as those of Platanus.

The leaves of sycamore are round and long oval, with a tip, which looks pretty.
The leaves of Platanus striata are palmate, with 3-5 cracks and sharp tip.
The corolla of Platanus is funnel-shaped, and the calyx is 5-lobed, which looks dense. When the flower is in bloom, the flower is closed, only the stamen extends out of the petal, and the whole flower looks very close, almost without gaps.
The petals are obovate, round and curved. The whole flower is slightly closed, and it doesn't seem to open so much, with brown and yellow anthers.
The flowers of the Platanus are bright red with rich color, while the flowers of the Platanus are orange with purple red stripes. The color difference is very obvious.
