The leaves of sweet orange are usually oval or oval, rarely lanceolate, about 6-10 cm long and 3-5 cm wide. The leaves of navel orange are elliptical, slightly smaller than the former, about 4-8 cm long and 2-4 cm wide.
Sweet orange fruit is round, oval or oblate, orange yellow color to orange red, peel is difficult to peel, ladyback has 9-12 small petals, pulp color orange red or light yellow, there are seeds. The navel orange, as the name suggests, has a navel at the top of the fruit, and the whole navel is wrapped in the pericarp. At the top of the fruit, there is a closed navel exposed after the style falls off. In addition to the large capsule valve, there is a small capsule valve developed from the secondary carpel. Compared with the former, peel and petal are easier to peel. There is no nucleus in the pulp.
