The leaves of Oxalis are basal or alternate on the stem, the stipules are very small, oblong or ovate, the edge of the leaves is densely villous, the base and petiole are united, with 3 leaflets, the leaflets are inverted heart-shaped, sessile.
The flowers of Trifolium repens are spherical, terminal, straight about 15 to 40 mm, with 20 to 50 flowers, the flower bracts are lanceolate, the Corolla is white, cream yellow or light red, with fragrance.
The flowers of Oxalis are solitary or several clustered into umbels, axillary, total pedicels are light red, petals are 5, yellow, and oblong obovate.
