Wang palm's leaves are divided into two parts, one is arched and often drooping, about 4 to 5 meters long. There are as many as 250 pieces of pinnae on each side of the leaf axis. The pinnae are arranged in four rows. The pinnae are linear lanceolate, the top is gradually becoming sharp, the top has two parts, about 90 to 100 cm long and about 3 to 5 cm wide.
The leaves of Areca catechu are pinnately divided, 2 to 3 meters long, arranged in two rows, linear lanceolate, 45 cm long and 1.2 to 2.5 cm wide, with sharp apex, complete or notched, and green leaves.
The flower order is 1.5 meters long and has many branches. The spathe is like a baseball bat before it blooms. The flower is very small and 6 to 7 mm long.
Under the false areca leaf sheath, there are panicles, 30 to 40 cm in length, many branches, with two sheath like spathes, 45 cm in length, white flowers, 3 petals, in the shape of an oblique egg.
The fruit is obovate or subglobose, about 1.3cm long, 1cm in diameter, dark red or lavender in color.
Areca nut is ovoid, red, 12 to 14 mm long.
