Xianfengcao is an annual herb, about 90cm high, with many branches, square stems, green color, and lavender in most nodes. And the stem of Bidens bipinnata is more upright, about 30-100cm high, blunt quadrangle, the upper part will have sparse pilose or glabrous.
The leaves of Xianfeng grass are opposite. The color is thick green on the surface and gray green on the back. They are very shiny. They grow up to about 3cm and are similar in size. And the leaves under the stem of Bidens bipinnata are smaller, the top leaves are larger, the sizes are different, the larger ones can reach 3.5-7 cm, and the middle parts on both sides are about 2-4.5 cm.
The flower heads of xianfengcao are arranged in the shape of fimbriae, axillary or terminal. It has long peduncle, green involucre, 4-7 white ligulate flowers and yellow tubular flowers in the middle. Although the color of Bidens is similar, but there is no ligulate flower.
