The suitable soil for cultivation of Zingiber officinale is loose soil, good moisture retention and aeration. It can be mixed with loam, peat, rotten leaf soil and some river sand and charcoal powder.
Yanshanjiang likes high temperature environment, and its growth temperature is 22-28 ℃.
Yanshanjiang is not hardy, and the temperature in winter should not be lower than 5 ℃. Generally, it can only withstand the temperature of about 8 ℃.
Yanshan ginger likes sunshine.
It is sensitive to light. When the light is insufficient, the leaves are yellow and not bright; when the light is too dark in cloudy days, the leaves will be darker.
Yanshanjiang is not cold resistant. When the temperature drops to about 10 ℃, it should be wrapped with paper, covered with plastic film, and stored in the room to survive the winter successfully.
In the north, it can be used indoors.
In the long-term growth of Zingiber officinale, fertilizer should be applied once a month, mainly P and K.
